1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a website remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. In this policy we refer to all of them simply as "cookies".
2. How Moonrise Radio uses cookies
Moonrise Radio uses cookies minimally and only where they genuinely help the site work. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking or building user profiles.
3. What we store
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| mr_vol | Remembers the volume you set in the radio player | Until you clear your browser data | Functional (local storage) |
| _ga / _ga_* | Anonymous aggregate statistics, only if analytics are enabled | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
The sleep timer runs only while the page is open and stores nothing on your device.
4. Third party cookies
Some technical data may be processed by third party services we rely on:
- Google Fonts, which delivers the fonts used on the site.
- AzuraCast and Icecast stream server, which runs the live audio stream.
- YouTube and radio directories (TuneIn, OnlineRadioBox, Streema). If you reach our stream or videos through their platforms, their own cookie policies apply.
We do not control cookies set by third parties on their own domains. Please refer to their respective policies for details.
5. Your choices
- Browser settings. All modern browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and local storage. See your browser's help section for instructions.
- Do Not Track. Where your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we do not load optional tracking.
- Opting out of analytics. You can install your browser's analytics opt out extension.
If you block local storage, the player still works, it just will not remember your volume.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in the technology we use or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
